Trump Impeachment & GOP Twisted Spin

This week is bound to be one of the most historic weeks in the 230 years since our Constitution was ratified in 1789. Facts, spin, misinformation and propaganda are all tangled together.

How do we keep it straight? Probably the best way is to focus on the mainframe. The skeleton of the impeachment inquiry. The basic facts. To do this though, we have to remove the spin that the GOP loyalists have unleashed in order to block the truth. Again, it’s the GOP Trump loyalists who are creating the spin, NOT all Republicans everywhere.

There are many Trump Administration officials who discussed removing Trump from office using the 25th Amendment back in 2017/2018. We all certainly recall the “Anonymous” NYT OpEd published on September 8, 2018, that outlined discussions about whether the 25th Amendment was the best method for dealing with Trump’s refusal to follow the rule of law and the Constitution. These dedicated, hard working, patriotic cabinet secretaries who were all Republican and hand chosen by Trump, confirmed by Republican senators, became so alarmed by Trump’s agenda and handling of affairs, that when they couldn’t go through with the 25th Amendment removal, many eventually resigned from their positions, deciding to align themselves with the right side of history.
If we all scroll the monthly headlines since Trump’s inauguration, the majority of us will be able to acknowledge the extensive layers of proof we have at our disposal to process the facts. We’ve known since the very first day, that Trump will use any means necessary to achieve his goals. The facts uncovered by the House Intelligence Committee when interviewing 12 critical witnesses, each outlining various aspects of Trump’s Ukraine bribery scheme, shouldn’t surprise anyone. They certainly didn’t surprise me.

We can pull up Trump rallies on YouTube and listen to Trump bribes at every single one. Several particularly alarming rally bribes are ones such as: “If you vote for me in 2020, I’ll give you a middle class tax cut of 10%.” Or how about, “Vote for me in 2020, and I’ll give you the medical care you want.”
This is simply who Trump is and has always been. Several cabinet secretaries who resigned much later the others admitted that they tried to be the guardrails that would keep Trump inside the lines, but Trump didn’t want that. Just like he didn’t want a guardrail like Ukraine Ambassador Yovanovitchkeeping him inside the lines when dealing with his theme in Ukraine. We get it. It’s a no-brainer unmanly levels.

But GOP Reps like Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan and Ranking Member Doug Collins have their marching orders. They are the Trump loyalists, the disrupters who seem intent on blocking the approaching bipartisan patriots on a mission to hold Trump accountable for destroying our national character, are well as our values and eroding the Constitution. Their twisted spin includes three main talking points:

“This is first partisan impeachment, with ONLY Dems onboard.” FALSE. For nearly three years, there has been a bipartisan effort to keep the checks & balances outlined in our Constitution in play and hold Trump accountable. As previously noted, GOP Cabinet Secretaries discussed using the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office. However, many patriotic GOP either resigned or were fired just like Yovanovitch.
GOP Trump loyalists claim Dems are trying to remove trump from office because they lost the 2016 presidential election. FALSE. This propaganda would only be believable if Trump stayed inside the lines. But since he doesn’t, and since he’s shouted to the public on many occasions that he’s above the law, and since numerous tell-all books have outlined just how far outside the lines he operates, this particular GOP talking point is more like a sick joke.
The Mueller Report found Trump innocent. FALSE. The Mueller Report did NOT find trump innocent. The Mueller report is a massive compilation of very dry, hard-core facts that state there was obstruction of justice. That Russia influenced the outcome of the 2016 election, implying that trump may in fact be an illegitimate president. And that Mueller wasn’t able to interview all the necessary witnesses (one of which wasTrump) to prove that trump colluded with Russia.

That’s basically it in a nutshell. Pathetic really. The trick is now getting the American public to see clearly through all the smoke and mirrors. We can do this!

I highly recommend Republicans read the book A Warning by Anonymous. Anonymous is a Republican, and A Warning appears to have been written for the silent Republican Senators and Congressional Representatives who refuse to stand up to Trump, as well as for Trump’s base. The message is very powerful. And convincing. ~

More States Banning Single-Use Plastic Bags | Reusables for Every Store

The holiday shopping season has begun. Packed malls and stores from coast to coast. American consumers are expected to spend nearly a half trillion dollars from Thanksgiving through December 25, 2019. But how many US shoppers will rely on their reusable bags at every store they visit?

Prior to 1977, stores offered paper bags to shoppers. But once the first plastic shopping bags appeared in 1977, the switch to plastic was swift and furious and by the end of the 1990’s, the vast majority of retail outlets across the globe relied on single-use plastic. According to The World Counts:

we consume 5 trillion single-use plastic bags per year
160,000 single-use plastic bags per second
but sadly, less than 1% of these are recycled
single-use plastic bags are made from oil, gas & coal which produce a significant amount of carbon
one ton of recycled single-use plastic bags equals 11 barrels of oil
the public’s seeming indifference to the extensive damage single-use plastic causes the environment, as well as it’s impact on climate change, has resulted in several states stepping in to regulate the use of single-use plastic bags

According to U.S. News & World Report:

Connecticut just passed a law that went into effect August 1 2019, banning single-use plastic bags in grocery stores and restaurants by July 2021. Some grocery store chains and restaurants have already begun transitioning patrons to the ban by ditching all plastic bags and charging shoppers .10 cents for paper bags, as well as passing along a discount to shoppers who bring their own reusables. Businesses that continue to provide singles-use plastic bags these next 19 months will charge shoppers a .10 cent tax for each plastic bag. This is an excellent model for other states to follow.

California was the very first state to ban single-use plastic bags back in 2014, and San Francisco was the first US city in 2007
New York jumped in and banned single-use plastic bags on Earth Day 2019; the ban will go into effective March of 2020
Hawaii hasn’t officially banned these deadly bags, but beginning in 2015 every county in the state has barred them, so Hawaii too is included in the count of state bans

The Center for Biological Diversity has provided a critical list of key facts about the harm of single-use plastic bags:

the average American household uses 1,500 sing-use plastic shopping bags per year
80% of the oceans’ massive toxic plastic island, the size of France, floating in the Pacific, comes from the plastic’s use on land
once it begins swirling around in the ocean, plastic is broken down into micro plastic fragments the size of rice and ingested by the majority of marine mammals
267 marine species are impacted by plastic
each year, 100,000 marine animals die from plastic consumption
once dumped in a landfill, it will take 500+ years for a plastic bag to degrade

Are Gun Deaths Higher in States Without Common Sense Gun Laws? Yes, Indeed!

There are many states who began passing common sense gun legislation to curb gun violence and are now experiencing the benefits. Lives have been saved. Communities are safer. Thus, it’s very clear why more than 90% of Americans are demanding that local, state and federal legislators do something.

Diving deeper to assess which states have passed which bills, it soon becomes crystal clear that the permissive gun states that have allowed gun ownership to go unchecked, are the states with the highest gun violence deaths. This makes sense, which again is why more than 90% of Americans, many millions of whom are gun owners, are demanding action.

How can Mitch McConnell hold a blind eye to this reality? Why is Mitch McConnell suddenly saying that he can’t allow any bill that Trump won’t sign to be brought to the floor for a vote? This is illogical and unconstitutional. The Legislative Branch is separate from the Executive and McConnell is at the helm of the Senate in the Legislative Branch. Going rogue and eliminating a vital check & balance, especially when it comes to the safety and protection of the American people, should be grounds for having him removed as Senate Majority Leader.

Connecticut is an excellent example of passing common sense gun laws that have served residents well and saved thousands of lives.

Connecticut’s sweeping common sense gun laws are some of the most reasonable and effective in the country and serve as a very sensible model to follow. In 2019, Connecticut ranks in the top 5 states with the lowest number of gun deaths per capita.

The Connecticut common sense gun laws respect the 2nd Amendment, while simultaneously protecting the American public’s expectation to live in a safe community. Colt is headquartered in Connecticut, and yet these bipartisan common sense gun laws passed in record time following the Sandy Hook massacre.

If more than 90% of the American public are demanding common sense gun laws, and the data proves the effectiveness, it doesn’t make sense to sit on the sidelines and hold a blind eye to such convincing proof that common sense gun laws save lives, maybe your own.

The Mysterious, Recurring Trump Tweet | Secret Signal?

Washington (Gallant Gold Media Hill Report | Analysis | May 21, 2019) – Trump has tweeted hundreds of thousands of bizarre, freaky tweets that have rattled millions across the globe. Pointing out one and labeling it as concerning will likely fall on deaf ears, but it seems important to note the anomaly regardless.

In the big scheme of things, this tweet might seem more like Trump’s heroic effort to act presidential for a few seconds a week. However, the constant repetition of the same message – a message Trump has embroidered on his HATRED RED HAT, a sentiment and hat that’s become the emblem for white nationalist vengeance against the world, particularly its American homeland – now seems more like a secret code to Trump’s white nationalist army. And look at the time stamp on this tweet, 4:01 AM on Friday morning May 17, 2019.

Ten minutes later, Trump tweeted what really seemed to hint at the stick in his craw:

Perhaps Trump was disgruntled over Jerry Nadler’s successful hearing on Executive Privilege conducted by the House Judiciary Committee on Wednesday May 15, 2019. The Hearing was a homerun for the House oversight function over the Executive Branch. Totally understandable why Trump was infuriated. The House was granted a green light around the obstacle that Attorney General Bill Barr has become. Surely Trump was terrified and having a difficult time sleeping.

Hopefully, Homeland Security is tracking all the “MAKE AMERICAN GREAT AGAIN” tweets and monitoring white nationalist response. The Mueller Report mentions Trump tweets as a method to influence jurors in the Manafort trial, as well as letting Manafort know he’d be pardoned if he remained loyal.

Here’s s MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN tweet during a rally in Florida that has photos. Nice. The image is likely filled with white nationalists.

There are several others that have a few sentences of words included. But it’s the all cap MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN that really stands out as a signal. A red flag of sorts. Trump had a whole series of these one sentence tweets following the Michael Cohen hearing. So as we enter a bumpy road up ahead with Trump and the House Oversight, it might be best to check daily for this particular Trump tweet RED FLAG and be cautious.

Coast Guard White Nationalist Will Remain in Jail Until Trial

Washington (Gallant Gold Media Hill Report | Perspective | May 17, 2019) – Monday May 13, 2019, U. S. District Judge George J. Hazel of Maryland boldly overturned U. S. Magistrate Judge Charles Day’s ruling of the preceding week and ordered USCG Lt Christopher Hasson reman in jail on weapons charges until his trial. The trial date has not yet been set.

Hasson, who faces up to 31 years in prison, is a 50 year old self-declared white nationalist, arrested on February 15, 2019, with plans to kill “nearly everyone on earth.” Hasson made a hit list of Democratic leaders, Supreme Court Justices, social media executives and top “leftist” journalists with the implication that they had to be slaughtered. Based on the material seized upon his arrest, it was determined that Hasson idolized Norway extremist Anders Behring Breivik who massacred 77 in 2011, most of whom were students. Breivik penned a 1,500 page manifesto for the purpose of inspiring other like-minded white nationalists, When arrested, Hasson was in the possession of 15 firearms and 1,000 rounds on ammunition. The initial court filing described Hasson as a “domestic terrorist” who was determined to “murder innocent civilians on a scale rarely seen in this country.”

Hasson stated in a letter to a friend that was included in the initial court filing, “I am a long time White Nationalist, having been a skinhead 30 plus years ago before my time in the military.” One of several Google searches that revealed Hasson’s intentions was the phrase “civil war if trump impeached.”

Last week on May 7, 2019, U.S. Magistrate Judge Charles Day ordered that Hasson be released until trial, despite his “grave concerns.” According to the TRIBLive, Day outlines that Hasson was to be be “released to the custody of in-laws at a home in Virginia, with 24-hour monitoring by GPS.”

Senators Dick Durbin (D-IL) & Tim Kaine (D-VA) introduced legislation on March 27, 2019 (S-894 Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2019), less than two weeks after the New Zealand white nationalist massacre, to address the domestic terrorism threat. Senator Kaine acknowledged that “the rise of white supremacy is an undeniable threat to the safety of our communities.” The bill is currently in committee, waiting to be debated, although it’s not expected to move forward anytime soon due to the fact that GOP senators do not believe white nationalists are a threat.

The number 14 is big. It represents the 14 words in the white nationalist slogan: “We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children.” Tennant affixed “14” to the rifle he used to slaughter 50 in New Zealand. Will There Be A White Nationalist Terror Attack This Week?

Washington (Gallant Gold Media Hill Report | Analysis | May 13, 2019) – On Wednesday May 15, 2019, it will be the two month anniversary of the white supremacist terror attack in Christchurch, New Zealand, which slaughtered 50 innocent civilians in a hate inspired rampage at a mosque during Friday prayers. The unremorseful white nationalist militant assured the world in his 74 page manifesto that his goal was to “polarize and destabilize the West, and spark a Civil War in the United States.” Asked whether he was a Trump supporter, Brenton Tarrant replied, “As a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose? Sure.”

Approximately one month later, on Easter Sunday April 21, 2019, ISIS linked Islamic terrorists shocked the world by massacring 359 Christians in a closely coordinated attack, striking three churches in separate locations across Sri Lanka. Forty-five of those killed were children. The attacks were surprisingly sophisticated, leading the intelligence community to believe the attackers were trained and supported by ISIS. These ISIS terrorists justified their annihilation by claiming it was retaliation for the New Zealand assault that killed so many muslims.

These two groups of dangerous extremists at opposite poles on the spectrum, may be using the pendulum swing for timing. Is it plausible there may be another white nationalist massacre somewhere in the world between Wednesday May 15 and Tuesday May 21? It seems as though it is indeed plausible.

What’s the Progress on S66 Assault Weapons Ban?

Washington (Gallant Gold Media Hill Report | Perspective | April 23, 2019) – With the horror of 320 lives lost on Easter day, in coordinated attacks by ISIS across Sri Lanka in Christian churches and high end hotels, we have just learned that the slaughter was in retaliation of the New Zealand Mosque massacre by a white supremacist on March 15, 2019. Will this now morph into an epic see-saw battle that rages on for years? A never ending pendulum of attacks against soft targets all over the globe? What positive outcome has an eye-for-an-eye ever netted?

In light of this possibility actually occurring, it’s time for the American public to refocus our commitment on Common Sense gun laws.

January 9, 2019 Senator Diane Feinstein introduced S66, the Assault Weapons Ban 2019. It was quickly referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), where it has since languished for three and a half months, untouched.

This is a call to action to move forward with the Assault Weapons Ban. It’s imperative that the senate take American safety seriously. The Department of Homeland Security is in disarray following the resignation of DHS Secretary Kristjen Nielsen, and is now without an official secretary. Further, the agency has apparently narrowed, and redefined, it’s main purpose, now focusing its attention primarily on Southern Border security, leaving the impression that there are significant swaths of our national security that aren’t being properly monitored, specifically domestic terrorism and the white supremacist threat. These bad actors are seemingly the ones most inclined to rely on assault weapons as their preferred weapon of choice.

The best way to neutralize the white nationalist/white supremacist threat is to pass Common Sense gun legislation. Both the Background Check Bill HR8 and the Assault Weapons Ban 2019 S66 are stalled in the Senate Judiciary Committee.

It only takes 60 seconds for each of us to call our two Senators and demand that S66 and HR8 be scheduled for debate in May.

Red Flags | Who placed these images in DC?

Washington (Gallant Gold Media Hill Report | Perspective | March 25, 2019) – Tuesday morning March 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM, the Full Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Senator Lindsey Graham, will be discussing guidelines for state Red Flag Laws. Sadly, the American public has been plagued by distressing news stories the past five years of numerous gun massacres where many of the attackers displayed alarming warning signs indicating they were a threat to the public, but so few picked up on it or knew how to proceed when they did recognize the signs.

The Senate Red Flag Laws Hearing couldn’t be taking place at a better time. Recent Red Flags have sprung up just yards away from Dirksen Senate Office Building where the hearing is taking place. Are any of the Senator’s who’ll be be discussing this most important National Security issue aware of the Red Flags surrounding National Mall? Does anyone in DC know how to interpret these alarming symbols?

Or are these weird, scary gun-toting icons in high trafficked crosswalks surrounding National Mall, strategically placed around the Smithsonians, just interesting characters? Perhaps readers can decide. The information has been shared with police.

So the weird, scary gun-toting icons hiding in plain sight, seem to be quite instructive, with every single detail representing something significant to the various people involved with what might be a plot to attack the public. This one above is particularly alarming, especially when factoring in it’s location on National Mall.

What’s challenging is that the potential meaning behind these mysterious figures seems to change with each new discovery.

Initially, there only seemed to be one. The big one in the header (is the body an upside down pentagon?), which was discovered on Valentine’s Day 2019. The See Something Say Something tip line was called and the image was texted. The next day, the Coast Guard white nationalist who planned to “kill nearly everyone on earth,” particularly massacre Democrats and journalists, was arrested. Coincidentally, the image is fixed on the crosswalk leading to the front lawn of the Capitol, closest to the Peace Statue on the Senate side, crossing from the reflection pond. The bent knee points at the Capitol. Double-fisted guns are terrifying. It seems highly probable these signify assault rifles.

A second was discovered a month after the first, on March 14, 2019, the day before the New Zealand massacre that slaughtered 49. Three more were located within a week of the second. And ten more were uncovered a week later on Sunday March 24, 2019. Major alarm bells are going off for everyone hopefully. These are clearly red flags of sorts. Clues indicating a possible attack?

This last icon with arms dropped, no guns, seems to emphasize more clearly that the others are indeed carrying multiple, big guns. So then is this friendlier bloke suppose to represent the player who’s a solid cover, a trust worthy tour director perhaps. Hmm, yes, a tour director. Someone who’s highly regarded and respected on National Mall, yet all the while is directing an army of nefarious bad actors manning their battle stations in the white and yellow buses that line Jefferson, Madison, Constitution and Independence?

Hopefully the Senate Judiciary Committee can find some answers to these frightening questions during their majorly important Senate Red Flag Laws Hearing.

HR8 |Background Check House Vote Feb 27, 2019

Washington (Gallant Gold Media Hill Report | Perspective | February 25, 2019) – Following HR8’s approval by the Judiciary Committee on February 13, 2019, the Committee has moved one step further in bringing HR8 to the House floor for a full vote this week, barring any unforeseen political conflicts. However, Capitol Hill promises to be a turbulent landscape in the upcoming days, with Representatives being pulled in many important directions. Thus, timing the HR8 vote is critical. We need all the sponsors and supporters to be present for the vote, which will hopefully take place on Thursday, February 28, 2019, the 25 year anniversary of The Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act (the original background check bill) which went into effect on February 28, 1994. Interestingly, the initial background check legislation was first introduced in Congress by NY Representative Chuck Schumer in 1991.

WEDNESDAY Feb 27 – Oversight Committee public hearing with Michael Cohen on Wednesday February 27, which may be the most significant event of the year if the Mueller report isn’t shared with the public
- Full House Vote on HR8 Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019

HR8 now has 232 bipartisan co-sponsors. The significant bipartisan support for the bill stems from 97% of the American public believing strongly that background checks should be required for every single gun sale. Background checks protect the public from those who seek gun ownership with ill intent. HR8 advocates simultaneously believe in the Second Amendment, and do support the right to bear arms, yet understand that common sense gun legislation makes sense. The success of our democracy stems from the fact that it’s stabilized by the rule of law. Borders and boundaries are essential. Evil exists in the world. HR8 | Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019 Explained: On January 8, 2019 Representative Mike Thompson of California’s 5th District introduced HR8. This simple, common sense gun bill is very basic : To require a background check for every firearm sale. The current background check bill has several significant loopholes that have proven deadly. Guns sold at gun shows, and guns sold among family and friends, currently do not require background checks.

The Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act requires that before a firearm is purchased through a federally licensed dealer, manufacturer or importer, a background check must be performed. There are a list of nine prohibitions that would prevent approval. The operative words in the Brady Bill are “federally licensed.” Since the majority of sellers at gun shows, and on the streets, as well as family and friends, aren’t federally licensed, a loophole was soon exploited by those falling under the following nine prohibitions:

fugitive from justice
convicted in any court for a crime punishable by more than one year in prison
dishonorably discharged from military
illegal alien
user or addicted to a controlled substance
renounced citizenship
has a restraining order against them
domestic violence, convicted in any court of misdemeanor crime
in a mental institution or adjudicated as mentally defective

HR8 eliminates these existing loopholes, making it far more difficult for those who plot to harm the American public to succeed. The Second Amendment was intended for self-protection, not public annihilation.

HR8 Passes Judiciary Committee | 1st Time Gun Legislation Passes in Two Decades

Washington (Gallant Gold Media Hill Report) – It took all day, and well into the evening, but patience did not disappoint. HR8 was approved by the House Judiciary Committee and will now move forward to the House floor for a full vote. This typically takes place within 100 days of being approved by the Committee. We should know the outcome by early May. From there it proceeds to the Senate floor for another full vote. The Senate will be a much tougher battle of course, however, HR8 has 231 bipartisan cosponsors so there is much hope it will pass the Senate as well.
